What is DSD?
Excellence in functional and aesthetic dentistry will never be achieved by chance. Digital Smile Design (DSD) is a multi-purpose conceptual protocol that provides remarkable advantages: diagnostic capabilities are facilitated by an extra evaluation
intraoral aesthetic and structural, improved communication among team members that provide better visual perception.
DSD engages the patient in the design of their smile.
What is DSD?
The Digital Design of the Smile is a software that allows specialists to preview the result of aesthetic and functional rehabilitation treatment through simple and automatic tools.
Through this system, we can show the patient the preview of the treatment result, and give the specialists all the necessary information to perform the rehabilitation.
Thanks to automatic calibration instruments, the DSD is able to obtain accurate measurements and its specific tools are capable of performing reliable studies.
How do we do it?
We made a series of 14 photographs both from inside the mouth and from the patient’s profile.
We made a video of the patient to observe his smile in detail.
With this we do a virtual study (virtual mock-up) on the computer.
We take patient models and transfer the data from the computer to the laboratory, using what we call diagnostic waxing.
We meet with the patient to present the case and explain in detail their doubts about the treatment. You can even see it in the mouth with the mockup that is prepared from the previous waxing.

WHAT TYPES OF PATIENTS ARE LOOKING FOR THIS TREATMENT?
It is an especially aesthetic treatment, but we can use it in most cases thanks to its accuracy.
CAN I SEE HOW I WILL BE FINAL?
Yes. In addition to the digital design, we perform a Mockup, that is, the patient can see in the mouth how the treatment will end before it starts.
DO YOU HAVE AN ADDITIONAL COST?
No. It is a free treatment that helps the patient to trust more in the treatment that we are going to propose.
CAN IT BE CARRIED OUT IN ALL CASES?
Yes. But we will begin the case after the patient’s oral health is correct.
