The dental prosthesis is the part that the patient sees in his mouth and, without a doubt, the most desired, since it will allow him to eat and he will return the aesthetics of the smile.

To do this we do a digital smile study (DSD) and assess all possible options, even before the placement of the implants.

The prostheses can be:

protesis

Mobile prostheses: Overdentures

Overdentures generally need fewer implants and are retained by a “click” system that makes the denture hold very well in the mouth and the patient is sure that the prosthesis does not move when eating or speaking.

The patient must remove them to brush and care for their implants. They are usually used for total edentulous patients, meaning that in one or both arches they do not have any teeth.

Generally the material with which they are made is resin and are cheaper than fixed prostheses.

Fixed prostheses

Fixed prostheses are those that the patient can not remove from the mouth, and usually only your dentist can do it

They are the closest thing to natural dentition and may be made of resin or composite (these are the so-called hybrid prostheses) and porcelain, which are the best and most aesthetic. Generally the latter are the most expensive.

They can be used both for the replacement of one or several teeth and for total toothless of one or both arches.

Prótesis dentales Cad Cam

CAD / CAM

CAD-CAM is a system that allows to design, using a software program, prostheses, crowns or dental bridges that are then placed in the patient’s mouth.

It is a system that allows the creation of dental pieces with accuracy and precision. This technology is based on a scanner that obtains a faithful image of the patient’s mouth, avoiding the taking of measurements that were traditionally performed with silicones.

From there, the dental technician obtains a digital file of the mouth and through the computer program projects the piece in 3D to later elaborate the dental piece as it is.

We help you

At Loscos Dental Clinic we will make a detailed study, advising the most appropriate type of prosthesis for each patient and their budget in a clear manner and including all processes.

In addition, we have the financing tailored to each patient, ie a fully customized study that can only be done after having correctly observed the case and its economic convenience.
